Akses SQL Server Express Edition via Jaringan

Sekedar share pengalaman yang saya dapatkan hari ini, yaitu cara mengakses SQL Server Express Edition yang sempat buat jidat berkerut.. hehehehhe..

SQL Server Express Edition secara default hanya bisa diakses oleh komputer lokal saja. Agar dapat diakses dari komputer lain (client) maka perlu berapa perubahan seting di Surface Area Configuration.

Caranya adalah :

Ke Start Menu -> All Program -> Microsoft SQL Server 2005 -> Configuration Tools -> SQL Server Surface Area Configuration. 

Pilih Surface Area Configuration for Services and Connections.

Setting Local and remote connections seperti diatas, klik Apply.

Setting SQL Server Browser seperti diatas, klik Apply.
